   I think I’m getting ever more aware of bad English and I think Facebook compounds that – it’s amazing to see how many companies allow people to update their wall who don’t even seem to have a basic understanding of grammar. It just gives such a bad impression of the company and means that I for one feel that I can’t be bothered with them.

   I used to have terrible problems with spell checker ‘correcting’ my typing at work. I had a colleague called Kuldip and every time I sent him an e-mail the spell checker automatically changed it to ‘Tulip’. I already had a reputation for calling everyone ‘flower’ because I could never remember names. This really didn’t help matters!

   I think spell checkers have made us really lazy and auto correct can be a nightmare.
